A Modern Approach to Modern Greek

If you’ve tried to learn Greek FOREVER and feel deflated, and you are still using the same methods / books / apps / teachers / whatever, please be aware of the opportunity you have to learn Greek TODAY - in contrast to the past.

It’s a new ballgame ⚽︎

And it's a gift for Greek language learners!

Some of the perks of learning today are due to changes in the language itself (like the elimination of accents), many are due to living in the digital age, and some are just due to the changing landscape of life and education. Some are random. All of them are game changers.

I am going to make a short video about each of these points.

For now, here's a stream-of-conscious list.

33 Reasons it is easier to learn Modern Greek today than ever before

1. Accents - used to be complicated, used to be many, now there is essentially one. ONE.

2. Apps to help with vocabulary and memory retention

3. Digital spaced-repetition (think digital flashcards...you don’t have to create or update it - it just works like MAGIC)

4. Podcasts of all different sorts - slow and fast

5. A fantastic array of videos with slow Greek, very slow Greek

6. Online teachers - plus ease in choosing due to reviews or word of mouth in community
